What a wild week it has been with snow, hail, gale force winds and loads of rain!

Well done to everyone that continued to develop their horses against the adversity. This is always a challenge to stay focused against adversity at the time but you really feel the benefits in the days to come.

We are very pleased as some of the horses that have been with us for the summer that were going home for Christmas are now staying so it really is a busy time, but the more characters around the hay pile through the holidays just makes for some more interesting viewing. Thank you to everyone that has applied to bring your horses for holiday and training livery over the winter, I have put you on the waiting list and look forward to meeting you and your horses in the new year.

2011 has been a really exciting year for Student of the Horse, I for one have been massively inspired by everyone's unique modern and creative approaches to horse development from foundation to finishing in many different styles and disciplines. Thank you for inspiring me to build stronger connections with horses and learn more from them in 2012.

However, none of this would have been possible without the help of the Student of the Horse team and everyone at broadoak stables for keeping things running smoothly while I'm jumping from one horse to another, I am extremely grateful and look forward to us all enjoying horses together for years to come. Thank you.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas and a brilliant 2012!
