Description

Welcome, or maybe welcome back! Now as I mentioned on the previous descriptions for the advancing groundwork and liberty clinic I really don't want the word Advancing in the title of this clinic to put you off. I know very well how it feels when you have invested your time and energy into developing a connection with a horse the last thing we want to do is expand or change anything just in case we break the connection that we now know and love. However, we can't build a stronger communication about relaxation with our horse unless we challenge the communication about relaxation by enabling him to become energised and athletic. Neither can we build a stronger communication about high energy and engagement unless we have a heightened level of respect and relaxation, which is why for this connection to get stronger, not weaker, its time to take it to the edge of what we know so far.

This clinic is really designed for anyone already working in connection with their horse but looking for new ways to challenge your connection and develop what you and your horse already have, taking you and your horse to your next level. This clinic will challenge you and your horse both physically and creatively helping you both explore the edge of your comfort zone until this can become a habit,  maintain that only small daily improvements, over time, lead to stunning results, making sure at all times our desire to succeed in our area of interest does not break down our connection with the horse.

You will learn how to challenge you and your horse buy working in different environments, sometimes on challenging terrain or in and around water, in and around herds of horses, how to work with more than one horse at the same time, maintaining connection against adversity, exploring advanced movements within your chosen discipline or areas of interest as well as setting you up with a strategy for you and your horses' continued development for when you get home, as well as a list of literature and books to help you achieve your goals and excel with your horse.

Typically the day starts at 10am once you have got a hot drink and a note pad ready we will discuss some theory behind the topics we will be covering as well as answering any questions you may have. Then we will start work with our horses in some group work but mostly one to one sessions which enables us to really focus on the individual. This means that when you are not working with your horse you have a great opportunity to spectate other horses and pick up the finer details that are easier to see as an outsider looking in. Then we will take an hour for lunch, pick up further training in the afternoon, then usually round everything up just before 5pm. This clinic will also be interspersed by inspiration demonstrations by students of the horse who have practised and perfected the techniques covered showing fantastic results at different stages of training.

If you are mad about horses and really want to take things to the next level for you and your horses this is the clinic for you, working together with you as your eyes on the floor to reach your goals as well as developing your connection.

If you have any questions related to any of the above or any queries relating specifically to you and your horses' needs please don't hesitate to get in touch.
